2018 Farmers Insurance Open tee times, viewer's guide
The PGA Tour heads to Torrey Pines this week for the Farmers Insurance Open, where Tiger Woods will make his first official start of the of the 2017-'18 season. The event's first two rounds take place on the North and South Courses at Torrey, with the final two rounds finishing on the South Course, where Woods won the 2008 U.S. Open and where the U.S. Open will return in 2021.
Despite Woods' impeccable record at Torrey Pines, expectations have been lowered for his return, including in Las Vegas, where he's favored to miss the cut. Making the weekend would be a positive sign of progress for the 14-time major champion, especially considering how poorly he played in this same event a season ago.
He'll have to do it against a strong field that includes defending champion Jon Rahm, fresh off his second career PGA Tour victory at the CareerBuilder Challenge last week. Other marquee names teeing it up at Torrey this week include Jason Day, Patrick Reed, Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, Hideki Matsuyama and Phil Mickelson.
TV Coverage
The Golf Channel will carry live coverage from 3 p.m. ET to 7 p.m. ET on Thursday and Friday, as well as Saturday from 2 p.m. ET to 3:30 p.m. ET and Sunday from 1 p.m. ET to 2:45 p.m. ET. CBS will take over on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. ET and on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET.
